Antoni Fluxà Monument (plaza Fluxà)

The monument, in dedication to Antoni Fluxà Figuerola, considered the father of footwear manufacturing in Inca, was designed by Joan Borrell and executed by Horacio de Eguía. The monument has a rectangular base, with a pedestal formed by different superimposed bodies, at the top of which there is a bronze bust of Antoni.

In Inca, Antoni Fluxà was the catalyst in the process of transition between crafts and industry. He brought together different artisans in his workshop and broke into new markets. He also began mechanising footwear manufacturing in 1915 and built a large factory in the centre of Inca.
