The Lluc Sanctuary, Majorca's spiritual centre, is located in the municipality of Escorca, in the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana, roughly 500 metres above sea level. The valley, that is home to the sanctuary, is surrounded by more than 1,000-metre-high mountains such as the Puig de Massanella or the Puig Tomir. Since ancient times, Lluc has been a place for religious worship.
