Antoni Fluxà Monument

The monument to Antoni Fluxà Figuerola, considered the father of shoemaking in Inca, was designed by Joan Borrell and executed by Horacio de Eguía. It is a monument with a rectangular base and a pedestal made of different overlapping sections, with a bronze bust of Antoni at the top.

Antoni Fluxà was the catalyst that enabled the transition process between craftsmanship and industry in Inca. He brought together different artisans in his workshop and opened new markets. He also initiated the mechanization of footwear manufacturing in 1915 and built a large factory in the center of Inca.
