Inca, Cycling from the Heart of Mallorca
The city of Inca has a perfect location for cyclists: the heart of Mallorca. And that means being close to all the possibilities. To the west, the Serra de Tramuntana and its curves and landscapes of stone and forest; to the north, the sea of the bays of Alcúdia and Pollença, crowned by Cape Formentor; to the east, the routes through the island’s Pla region, with its cultivated fields and slow-paced villages; and to the south, Palma and its almost infinite offerings.
But Inca offers much more value than just being a starting point: it is a municipality full of paths, with varying elevations, longer and shorter, paved or dirt, which check almost every box of the cycling options that Mallorca can offer. Routes such as the Camí Vell de Lloseta, or the Camí Vell de Biniamar, Llubí, Pollença, Muro, or Costitx, allow you to understand life before wide, heavy-traffic roads and to ride in peace with very few cars. Climbing up to Santa Magdalena is a pleasure that has remained unchanged for years and, along with the GR 222, the Parc des Serralt Circuit, or Ses Cimenteres, it rounds out a list that, combined with the great gastronomic selection to refuel, makes it one of the best options for lovers of two wheels.
