Church and Cloister of Santo Domingo

This is a Baroque church (1664-1689) which was converted into a parish church in 1962. A standout feature is the Dominican convent. One of its most characteristic traits is the single-nave floor plan divided into five bays with lateral chapels. It is covered by a barrel vault. The facade is faced with stone and features a rose window in the centre. On the portal, there are two fluted pilasters with Ionic capitals, upon which rests the entablature with a niche containing the image of the Virgin handing the rosary to Saint Dominic.

The cloister is quadrangular in shape, with seven basket arches on each side supported by stone columns with Ionic capitals. The most important works preserved inside are the Roser (Rosary) altarpiece by Gaspar Horns (16th century), as well as Baroque altarpieces of the Roser, Saint Vincent Ferrer and the Souls (17th century).
