Wine Cellars or "Cellers" Route

The bodegas or cellers are restored buildings where wine was once made and stored in large wooden barrels. Currently, they have been transformed into restaurants. Vineyards were the primary crop in Inca until the 19th century due to the phylloxera plague. They are usually very high-ceilinged spaces, covered by wooden beams, located either below street level or at street level, depending on each cellar. Can Ripoll, Ca n’Amer, and Travessa are three of the most representative bodegas or cellers today.
